We Have A Serious Problem

I felt alone. God was not there. His presence was nowhere to be found. I said, "Where are you?" " Why can't I hear you?" "Help me". "Where are you?"

Nothing.
Not a sign or a sound not admonishment or adulation. Not sand or water. Not light or darkness. I was just alone.

Again I cried out "Where are you?"
Silence.

I prayed to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit hoping I could hear a Word any Word. "Where were They?", I asked.

Then a private revelation. Jesus saying "I can't come there. I can never visit the nations of the world. Every moment of every day I hear their silent screams. Their screams are a constant crucifixion. My Father has shared creation with you and you destroyed His work. You have destroyed your work. "

"I tell you this. My father cries on His throne. He cries out, 'Where are they?... Where are My children?'"

Jesus continued, "The angels in heaven tremble at thought of My Father's revenge."

The Problems of Heaven

While praying I had a startling realization. Supposed at this very minute. I died and went to heaven. The moment that I entered the Pearlie gates paradise would no longer be perfect.

I am sure there are a lot of people there I just don't like. I am sure I will continue to be some form of my old obnoxious self. Now God could change my attitude but then it would not be me in heaven. Perhaps once I am there in the land of answers I will have a greater understanding of man and God and I will immediately understand the true meaning of salvation.

Or maybe in the very short time I have left I better put on the mantle of Christ, live the words of Jesus and fall deeply in love with God.

Maybe those who are there changed before they reach the promise land. Jesus died for my sins but did his death change my perspective of life, my personality, my attitude.

America a Magazine of Fads not Thruth

After 100 years it is great to see the America magazine keep up the Jesuit tradition of spiritual superiority rather than honest humility.

If we look at how many Catholics are attending church regular, how many children in a Catholic family, the lack of unity within the American church and the clergy scandal, we can easily conclude the number of new priests today is a miracle rather than a horror.

No one doubts the ability of married priests to tend to their flocks. But what America, canon 529-530 and Cardinal Egan does not realize is that family chores are more responsible more difficult and more important that priestly duties. The clergy and the supporters of married priests should realize that responsibilities inside the family are far greater than any responsibility outside the home including the priesthood. The idea that a man should sacrifice his family for he church is ridiculous.

To fix the priest shortage we can either pray for a thirties' depression and a world war returning to the days when the seminaries were jam. Or we can hope our priest can lead the faithful to full unity with the teaching of Christ which will raise the number of practicing faithful. It is when the laity is united with Christ will the number and the quality of the clergy rise. The clergy must realize the best way to serve Christ is to serve the family, the foundation of the church.

Concerning Obama invitation to Notre dame the lack of vision of Catholic intellectuals is baffling. The catholic universities, catholic Church, catholic education, catholic business and catholic faithful have only one primary function and that is to preparation for our eternal journey. Everything else is insignificant. President Obama is not pro choice he is pro abortion and pro sterilization (a way to reduce abortions). His promotion of contraception in Africa in spite of the successful abstinence program results in Uganda where HIV infection dropped dramatically has us wonder about Obama's moral perception and his philosophical make up. Obama is not the problem; the problem is the clergy who invited an abortion advocate on the grounds of a catholic university. This is the sign of the new Catholic hypocrite. The hypocrites who are religious and who are religious persons but pretend to worldly and wise. This hypocrisy tears at the soul of the individual. The church can not survive with hypocrisy nor can the church reach its glory with clergy who are ashamed of the teaching and witnessing of Christ and his church.*

Advent Meditation Week Three

Advent the celebration of the arrival of Christ BUT Christ did not arrive in an airplane or a rocket ship. Why not remember How Christ really arrived for Our Salvation

Meditation

Elizabeth and Mary spent all their waking moments with each other. Elizabeth was finally going to have a baby. She was finally going to have a family. Her child and Mary’s child will be so close. Elizabeth taught Mary so much. She taught her about babies and children, family and life, joy and pain. Inside Mary’s womb the baby was formed. Mary felt the baby kicking.

God looked down, he watched at his son formed in the womb. He had tracked each cell as it found its home, Even He marveled as each part of the body grew silently. He saw the first stir, He heard the first murmur, He gazed at the first smile and He responded to the child’s slight wave. The Almighty God who was lonely before creation of man was at his happiest watching his own son be created through a method that was His. He, as he had done since the creation of the first man so many years before, breathed the soul into the being. This is the passive conception that has connected all mankind to the Creator. The Son will please the Father, the Son will obey the Father, the Son will worship the Father, the Son will love the Father, and the Son will save the Father’s creation.
God saw what had happened and knew that it was good and HE CRIED.

Advent Meditation Week Two

Advent the celebration of the arrival of Christ BUT Christ did not arrive in an airplane or a rocket ship. Why not remember How Christ really arrived for Our Salvation

Meditation

Mary told her Mom about the angel and the baby. Her Mom listened, held her and cried. Mary was not sure if her Mom believed her. Mary started to think about her short life. She was always accused of being concerned. About being older or maybe more mature than her years. Everybody liked her and she liked everybody, even some of the unsavory characters. Mary knew she had to visit her cousin. Since the angel mentioned Elizabeth. Mary walked over to Joseph’s house. She asked him if he would accompany her on the trip to see Elizabeth.
Joseph knew about the baby. He said nothing but Mary knew his heart was broken. She knew Joseph had no idea what he was going to do. Mary knew he could leave her anytime. Mary loved Joseph but she knew this role she was chosen to play in a lot of ways excluded Joseph. The last few months were so confusing.
Joseph and Mary started on the journey. Joseph was quiet, sulking. Mary could see tears in his eyes. Joseph said nothing and Mary was not about to explain any more than she had already done.
When Mary saw Elizabeth she ran to her and they both hugged each other. They closed their eyes, smiled and twirled each other around and around. They shared a miracle. At that moment they did not realize the pain of losing their sons to such violence.
Mary broke into song "My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me— holy is his name. His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation. He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts. He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty. He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be merciful to Abraham and his descendants forever, even as he said to our fathers."
Joseph saw the Joy, he left the house and settled into the stable.
That night as he stared at the roof of the stable an angel came up to him and said "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."
God saw what had happened and knew that it was good.

Advent Meditation Week One

Preparing For Christmas:

Advent the celebration of the arrival of Christ BUT Christ did not arrive in an airplane or a rocket ship. Why not remember How Christ really arrived for Our Salvation

Meditation

Mary felt tired, drained, exhausted, and weak. It was all-consuming experience. Mary had no idea of time, no sense of reality. It happened to her, she knows that, but at the same time had no idea of what had really happened. She was deeply disturbed by the words of the Angel and pondered what they could mean. Mary wondered, “What is happening to me? What does it all mean?
She felt cold, she started to shiver, she sipped some water and slowly lowered herself into her bed. She pulled a blanket over herself. A strong, warm breeze blew open the window. She was half awake; the breeze caressed her. Mary closed her eyes. She stirred. Her life was transformed from that moment.
Inside her, the conception by the Holy Spirit had taken place. At that very moment, our Redemption began. At that very moment, Christ’s body began to be formed. At that very moment, God the Father had looked upon his lowly handmaid. At that very moment His Son began His journey as one who is both human and divine at the same time.
God saw what had happened and knew that it was good.
